Having the right expectations is important. After all, hair growth is a slow process, especially when the hair follicles have been affected for a longer period of time. A realistic time frame to evaluate the initial effect of treatment is 3 to 6 months. Initially, you will notice that the hair feels firmer and/or falls out less. The full effect often shows itself after 12 months. On average, healthy hair grows 1.25 cm per month. In 'problem areas,' where the hair follicles are often affected, this is slower. In addition, it is good to know that regrowth is more difficult to achieve than inhibiting/stabilizing thinning hair. Also, regrowth will occur faster and easier in some than others. If you get to it quickly, then regrowth will be easier than if the process has been going on longer. On the other hand, don't get discouraged too quickly, hair growth is a slow process and the difference builds up more and more over the course of a year.
