First Experience with Hair Loss
Floyd is a housing counselor from Vught. Around the age of twenty-five, he began to slowly go bald. “It started very gradually at first: my receding hairline got wider and my hairline started to pull back. At first, you don’t really notice it, until I went to the barber and realized I really couldn’t style my hair the way I used to.”
From that moment on, his search for a solution began. “I spent hundreds of euros on all kinds of remedies to get my hair back. For years, I used special lotions and shampoos, and even bought hair serums in capsule form that you had to break open before applying to your hair, but unfortunately, none of it worked.”

The first steps toward a solution
At one point, he heard about hair pigmentation. That was one of the first real steps forward. “In this procedure, they tattoo tiny hair tufts onto your head to create a hairline. I was satisfied with it, but the ink fades in the sun. Because of this, I had to go back every year to have it touched up. Plus, you’re basically still bald, because you always have to keep shaving your hair.”
A year and a half ago, he took the step to get a hair transplant. He opted for grafts. “This was an eight-hour surgery. A pretty long and pretty painful ordeal. The weeks afterward were also tough: you have to sleep with a special neck pillow and your head is covered in scabs.” So his sleep was very poor during the first few weeks after the surgery. You also have to keep in mind that it takes a while for the hair to actually grow back. “Because your new hair falls out again after the surgery due to a ‘shock effect’ before it really starts to grow, it takes several months before you see a difference. Still, I’m incredibly happy I did it, because I now have a full head of hair again and recommend it to everyone.”
Floyd's current routine
To maintain these results, he now uses Neofollics products. “My daily routine consists of washing with their shampoo, and I use the spray twice a day.” He also uses a derma roller. “I barely feel the needles.”
Floyd's routine:
- Neofollics shampoo
- Neofollics lotion twice a day
- Neofollics scalp roller
Although he is convinced that you really need a hair transplant for regrowth, these products give him hope that his hair will now remain permanently beautiful and thick.
